Carol Montgomery Brosnac, MA, LMFT - Transgender & Gender Diverse Psychotherapy
Winner Best of Fresno Best Therapist October 2017

Hi!  I'm Carol.

My private practice is in Northwest Fresno, California, on the "Fig Garden Loop."  I am a WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health) psychotherapist specializing in working with individuals ages 14 and over who may be dealing with the following issues:

  • Transitioning Transgender or Gender Diverse Individuals (& their support network/family)
  • Gender Dysphoria
  • Gender Identity
  • Coming Out
  • Workplace Issues (Related to Transition)
  • School & Peer-Related Problems (Related to Gender & Sexual Orientation Issues)
  • Adjusting to New Roles & Identities
  • Family Stress & Coping (in Relation to Transitioning...)

Although I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I do not offer couples therapy/marriage counseling, unless it pertains directly to a transgender client and his/her/their transition, nor do I work with children under the age of 14.

I have transgender group therapy available, as well.  Please visit my GROUPS page for a list of current groups offered.

I have a spacious office that is very home-like and comfortable for all ages.  My waiting room has a stereo and a tv, as well as art supplies and an easel for kids, and a wide array of current pop-culture magazines, so you can relax while you wait for your appointment or for your loved one while they are in session.  There are complimentary snacks and beverages available while you wait, so you don't have to go into a session hungry, especially if you have to come in right after work or school!  Also offered are many different informational brochures for you to read while you wait or for you to take home and/or share with others.  My goal is for each and every client and their support network to feel safe and comfortable while in my office.  If you have any suggestions or comments after visiting my office, please feel free to contact me.
